Lego Simpsons Wedding Cake
This 3 tier Lego Simpsons themed wedding cake was designed to give the effect of a normal looking wedding cake from one side with exposed Lego bricks and Lego Simpsons characters appearing to be finishing off the cake on the other side.
The normal side of the cake was decorated with small handmade pink flowers finished off with a purple ribbon to match the colour theme.
All work on the cake was completely edible apart from the small genuine Lego Simpsons characters and piping bag itself.
The Lego Simpsons Bride and Groom cake topper were hand crafted to match hair colours and outfits of the bride and groom. The rolled back fondant rolls were individually made including all the Lego blocks on the side of the cake.
The top tier was an indulgent Belgium chocolate sponge filled with chocolate ganache, the middle tier a zesty lemon sponge filled with freshly squeezed lemon buttercream and the bottom a Victoria sponge filled with vanilla bean syrup buttercream and strawberry jam.
This cake was made for a wedding at the beautiful Sandford Springs Hotel in Kingsclere, Hampshire.
